General questions

CLEW  is a young company from Munich that was founded in 2019 by three former students and enthusiastic snowboarders. CLEW develops, produces, markets, and sells products from the action and boardsports sector and is particularly known in the industry for its innovative "CLEW step-in snowboard bindings".

We are proud to be the only snowboard binding that is 'Made in Germany'. Our assembly takes place in Miesbach, close to Munich. Most of our individual parts also come from Germany.

Product

The first time you use it, you enter the CLEW binding just like a traditional ratchet binding. This makes the binding perfectly adjusted to your soft boot. When you arrive at the lift, you simply pull on the red handle on the back of the binding (highback) and step out with it. When you are good to go step whit the tip of your boot into the front part of the binding (toe strap) and then step on the heel. That's it ;-)

Of course, this happens when snowboarding. If there is a lot of snow, we recommend removing as much as possible from the step surface by shaking or wiping briefly.   It is also very easy to snap into place in the snow. For this purpose, the CLEW binding is equipped with a particularly snow and ice-proof guide and several locking steps.

Use this text to answer questions in as much detail as possible for your customers.

The CLEW Combi-Disc (included) is compatible with the most common snowboard screw connections (Channel, 4x4 and 2x4).

Our combi disc is not designed for the "3D" pattern. If you are using a board with this hole pattern, you can easily add the matching 3D disc when ordering.

For the CLEW binding you can use your own soft boots, no matter which brand. You just have to make sure that you choose the right binding size.

You can use our binding anywhere in the snow. With the hard 'Flex' you get an optimal riding experience on the slopes and in deep snow. Less sitting, more riding ;)

The highback has a sole component made of an abrasion-resistant TPU material on the bottom side (the same material as most boot soles). The material offers properties comparable to those of the shoe soles in newer ski boots.

No, our click system does not trigger in the event of a fall. Our binding is continuously tested and used by professional riders.  

My order

After ordering you will receive an order confirmation within 24h. The goods will be shipped on the specified date. Once the goods have left the warehouse, you will receive a notification with a tracking number so that you can track your shipment.

If you do not receive the tracking code and order receipt within 5 days of placing your order, please contact us.

We deliver to most of the USA within 3 working days. For free.

You can find the delivery date on the respective product detail page in our shop.

As soon as the goods have left the warehouse, you will receive a notification with a tracking number. This allows you to track the status of your delivery at any time. If you do not receive your order and if the tracking has not been updated for more than 2 business days, please contact us and we will check your request immediately: support@clew.de. 

Usually, you will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours of placing your order. Occasionally it can happen that new messages end up in the spam folder, so it is best to also check your spam folder. If you do not receive a message within 24 hours, please contact us at.support@clew.de.

You can cancel your order without giving reason. Orders that have already left the warehouse cannot be retrieved. When the package arrives, simply refuse to accept it and it will automatically be returned to us. Once the goods are back at our warehouse, they will be processed and you will get your money back.  

Product return

Just go to our returns portal and fill out the form. We will then get back to you as soon as possible

Under certain circumstances, packaging may be damaged during delivery. In most cases, however, the damage is only to the packaging and not directly to the product. If you find that the packaging is damaged when receiving it, it is best to ask the delivery person to wait a moment. We recommend opening the packaging and checking whether the contents are damaged. If the item is damaged, you can refuse to accept it and the item will automatically be returned to us.

Just send us a message to support@clew.de, we will then cancel your order. In the same time you can place second order with the right item.

Of course you can mount your bindings onto your snowboard at home. However, as soon as the binding has been on the slopes, it can no longer be returned.

The duration of the refund depends on the payment method. It usually takes only a few working days for you to get your money back.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer an exchange of items. However, you can return your unused product and place a new order at the same time.

We fully comply with the statutory warranty and regulations.
